EIT Culture & Creativity update
EIT Culture & Creativity is pleased to welcome Dr. Marta Materska-Samek, PhD from the Uniwersytet Jagielloński w Krakowie and Valentina Gianfrate from the Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna as new tandem team to take care of the Action Programme 1: Talent Scaler.We would like to thank our former AP1 Director Caroline Parkinson for leading the establishment of the Talent Scaler work plan and facilitating the team’s completion of the first set of deliverables so far. In planning the year ahead it became clear that the combined work plans and travel requirements of her role at University of Edinburgh and the Talent Scaler Interim Directorship would become unsustainable. We are glad to have found a solution with her and Una Europa by appointing our new tandem to take over the implementation of the Talent Scaler work plan until November 2023.
With their long experience in academia and CCSI, as well as their skills in scientific research, Valentina and Marta are a perfect fit for the role of AP1 Directors and will strengthen EIT Culture & Creativity's expertise, especially in the field of education.
The Talent Scaler´s aim is to complement the portfolio of CCSI related education programmes with new MSc and PhD tracks tailored explicitly to entrepreneurial and interdisciplinary skills, and to mainstream creative and design thinking skills in other programmes. Together with our second tandem Ruth Daniel and Teresa Ó Brádaigh Bean – who are steering the development for Action Programme 2: Skills Fitter – these four will work on fulfilling our aims on the Strategic Objective of Education.
