#2 Una Masterclass workshop for PhD students

We would like to present our second Una Masterclass workshop for PhD students which will be held under DIGITALIZED! Society in the Era of Digital Revolution project.

The aim of DIGITALIZED! is to develop new methods to intensify the cooperation between the universities of Una Europa, and to conduct scientific research. The project also endeavours to popularize and educate. Moreover, the additional goal is to implement and carry out projects in the socio-economic environment that are connected with the impact of the digital revolution which influences changes in the social world.

DIGITALIZED! is financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange as part of the Academic International Partnerships programme.

Una Masterclasses are a few days meetings with world-leading scientists, entrepreneurs, science managers, and opinion-makers to discuss a selected, vital problem falling within the thematic scope of the project.

 

The second Una Masterclass workshop will be held online by prof. Remigiusz Sapa from the Jagiellonian University – Kraków – Poland.

Title: APPLIED STUDIES ON COLLABORATIVE INFORMATION BEHAVIOUR IN A DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT

 

Applied research is understood here as any investigation using scientific methodology to acquire new knowledge (or to use previous scientific achievements) with the direct aim of changing any specific and particular aspects of reality in a desired direction or deciding not to change it at all.

Collaborative information behaviour (CIB) comprises information behaviours in task-oriented groups working together to achieve common goals. It includes behaviours that are exhibited when people work together to:

· identify their information needs

· seek the needed information through searching and sharing information

· use the information found to achieve the intended goals

· manage of acquired information

1st Session: May 17, 3:00 pm - 6:45 pm (CEST)

2nd Session: May 19, 3:00 pm - 6:45 pm (CEST)

FOR WHOM?

For anyone who would like to effectively and efficiently improve the practice of collaborative information behaviour in various contexts (e.g. in companies, institutions, research and project teams, etc.) with the use of scientific research and scientific knowledge.

 

WHAT IS THE GOAL?

To learn or develop the ability to design applied research to diagnose or improve collaborative information behaviour solutions in digital information environment.
