Workshop: Help us to shape the future of Una Europa doctoral training programmes

Workshop: Help us to shape the future of Una Europa doctoral training programmes

Are you working on (or interested in) doctoral training programmes, doctoral supervision or graduate school administration? Or are you a PhD candidate? If so, join us for this free online workshop!

From 10:00am to 3:15pm CET

Online via Zoom

At the session, you will:

  • Learn about best practices in PhD supervision and mentoring
  • Brainstorm the future of doctoral supervising and training
  • Contribute to the creation of Una Europa interdisciplinary training programmes for PhD candidates and supervisors

We especially encourage people in the following roles to join us:

  • PhD Supervisors interested in Interdisciplinary Methods Training and/or topics related to Europe and the World
  • Doctoral researchers working on interdisciplinary projects or on the topics related to Europe and the World
  • Deans of Graduate Schools
  • Administrative Staff in Graduate Schools
  • Interested early career scholars

To join the workshop, you must be affiliated with an Una Europa university.

This workshop will lay the foundations for the development of two doctoral training programmes developed under Una Europa's Una.Futura project:

  • A Doctoral Interdisciplinary Methods Training (DIMT), first for the fields of social sciences, humanities and law and later for the natural sciences. The course will train PhD candidates and their supervisors, and will allow them to move between different universities in the Una Europa alliance.
  • An interdisciplinary doctoral training programme with “Europe and the World” as a thematic focus. It will focus on best practices in supervision and on training PhD candidates working on topics related to Europe and the World.
